The West Campus Upper Plateau is a high-quality, master planned business and industrial park designed to conserve and maintain open space and natural areas, create new jobs and business opportunities, and build public infrastructure.
Most of the project’s land area — over 445 acres—will be conserved and maintained as natural, open space, or recreation areas to support the area’s biodiversity. These areas will be located as a “buffer” between neighboring communities and the project’s developed area.
Additionally, 60 acres are set aside within the project for a future active and passive park space. The community will have a hands-on role in designing park space and features that will be enjoyed for years to come.
New Jobs and
Business Opportunities
Upper Plateau will fulfill the promise of creating thousands of new jobs through new business opportunities, adding millions of dollars into our local economy. New businesses to the area may include a variety of land uses including business parks, e-commerce, light manufacturing, research and development, and public facilities.
Upper Plateau will add needed public infrastructure that supports the broader community’s quality of life. New park space will provide a new place to play and socialize. An improved trail network will make walking and biking a new option for many people through properly built and maintained trails and signage. In addition, a new fire station is being built as part of the project, increasing local response resources for the surrounding community.
